Data, Automation, and AI for Organizations That Have Outgrown Their Systems

I speak to leaders and practitioners about designing data, reporting, and automation systems that people trust, adopt, and sustain.

My Approach

I currently lead enterprise data and automation initiatives at HEI Civil, a multi-state civil construction organization with 800+ employees, partnering with executive leadership across operations, finance, HR, and safety. Our work has generated over $1M in recurring annual ROI while eliminating 19,000+ manual hours per year across three divisions.

I bring a practitioner’s perspective to data and automation conversations. My sessions emphasize clarity over hype, practical decision making, and the realities of implementing systems inside real organizations.

Audiences value my ability to connect technical architecture to business outcomes, change management, and long term ownership. The focus is always on what works in practice and what teams can sustain over time.

I also facilitate executive and team learning sessions focused on system design, decision making, and sustainable automation.

Speaking Topics

Enterprise Systems & Strategy

  • Designing enterprise data and automation systems that scale

  • Designing Data and Automation Systems That Scale With the Business

  • Turning fragmented data into trusted decision making tools

  • Over $1M in Recurring ROI: What Actually Worked Across Our Divisions

Adoption & Change Management

  • The Adoption Gap: Why Well-Built Programs Fail (And It's Not What You Think)

  • Making Data Meaningful for People, Not Just Systems

  • ADKAR Framework: Designing Adoption Into Any Program From Day One

  • Driving adoption through change management and governance

  • The human side of change, why adoption is the real implementation problem

Operational Excellence

  • Reducing manual work through reliable workflow automation

  • Making data useful for decision makers, not just analysts

  • AI governance and responsible adoption for operational organization

What Featured Topics Cover

The Adoption Gap: Why Well-Built Programs Fail (~45 min)

Why well-designed programs fail at adoption despite being technically sound. Three root causes: fragmented ownership, poor data architecture, low adoption. Introduces ADKAR framework for designing adoption into any program from day one.

Building AI Governance in Civil Construction (~45 min)

5-pillar framework for scaling AI across organizations: ownership, data quality, transparency, performance monitoring, adoption. How governance enables (not restricts) adoption. Real case study: how HEI Civil moved from 20% to 80% adoption in three months.

Over $1M in Recurring ROI: What Actually Worked Across Our Divisions (~45 min)

4-step process for identifying and delivering measurable ROI through data and automation. Real examples from equipment, safety, HR, and operations divisions. Replicable framework construction companies (and other mid-market organizations) can apply immediately.

All sessions emphasize practical frameworks, real examples, and what actually works inside organizations, not buzzwords or theory.

Experience

Trimble Dimensions (Construction Industry's Premier Tech Conference)

  • 2023: Fully-booked breakout session on Power BI and BI strategy for construction companies

  • 2025: Returned to speak on change management and data adoption (4.75/5 attendee rating, highlighted as one of the most impactful sessions)

  • 2026: Selected to lead two sessions on AI Governance and ROI in civil construction (November, Las Vegas)

SnowFROC 2026 (Security & Governance Conference)

  • Presented From Controls to Confidence: Why Security Programs Fail Without Adoption

  • Explored why well-designed programs fail at adoption despite being technically sound

  • Used real construction industry examples and introduced ADKAR framework

Sessions focused on practical strategy, adoption frameworks, and business outcomes. Attendees report that sessions directly influence how they approach technology implementation and organizational change.

Attendee Reflections
Feedback shared by practitioners and leaders following sessions on data, automation, and adoption:

Matthew B

"Understanding the need to involve people more in the process. Our company has many dashboards, but adoption is low, and this helped explain why."

Bianca R

"The struggles you shared reflect what I deal with day to day. Your advice felt practical, and I plan to apply it moving forward."

Justin M

"This ended up being one of the most important sessions I’ve attended. The perspective will directly shape how I move forward with technology and workflow decisions."

Karan P

"Your message about making data make sense for people, not just systems really resonated. That’s where the real impact happens."

Natasha H

"You were an engaging presenter and the content was strong. The change management framing added clarity many teams are missing."
